From the Scientific Committee for the 2025 IIBA conference
Following the theme of the conference we have sought to illuminate ways that psychoanalytic and other contemporary perspectives on psychotherapy can be synthesized into a contemporary understanding and use of bioenergetic analysis. This necessitated a deep and systematic review of basic concepts and technical applications of BA and setting them alongside similar or different concepts and applications in psychoanalytic and other approaches. The Committee formulated a set of guiding ideas and questions for presenters: psychoanalytic and psychodynamic theory and practice (a tree of which BA is a branch); technical approaches in BA and other modalities; the understanding and response to the reality of human destructiveness.
We selected three of the best-known and highly regarded theorists and practitioners, Drs. Nancy McWilliams, Paul Wachtel, and Susan Grand, to bring us the field in general. And we selected three bioenergetic theorists and senior practitioners: Garry Cockburn, Guy Tonella, and Scott Baum, to enter into dialogue with them on the theme of the conference.

Seguindo o tema da conferência, procuramos iluminar maneiras pelas quais as perspectivas psicanalíticas e outras perspectivas contemporâneas da psicoterapia podem ser sintetizadas em uma compreensão e uso contemporâneos da análise bioenergética. Isso exigiu uma revisão profunda e sistemática dos conceitos básicos e aplicações técnicas da BA e colocá-los ao lado de conceitos e aplicações semelhantes ou diferentes em abordagens psicanalíticas e outras. O Comitê formulou um conjunto de ideias e questões norteadoras para os apresentadores: teoria e prática psicanalítica e psicodinâmica (uma árvore da qual BA é um ramo); abordagens técnicas em BA e outras modalidades; a compreensão e resposta à realidade da destrutividade humana.
Selecionamos três dos teóricos e profissionais mais conhecidos e conceituados, os Drs. Nancy McWilliams, Paul Wachtel e Susan Grand, para nos trazer o campo em geral. E selecionamos três teóricos e profissionais seniores da bioenergética: Garry Cockburn, Guy Tonella e Scott Baum, para dialogar com eles sobre o tema da conferência.

Следуя теме конференции, мы стремились осветить пути, с помощью которых психоаналитические и другие современные подходы к психотерапии могут быть объединены в современном понимании и использовании биоэнергетического анализа. Это потребовало глубокого и систематического обзора основных концепций и технических приложений бакалавриата и сопоставления их с аналогичными или отличающимися концепциями и приложениями в психоаналитических и других подходах.
Комитет сформулировал ряд руководящих идей и вопросов для докладчиков: психоаналитическая и психодинамическая теория и практика (древо, ветвью которого является БА); технические подходы в БА и другие методы; понимание и реакция на реальность человеческой деструктивности.
