A Little Look Back in IIBA History
Dr. Alexander Lowen left the chairmanship of the International Institute in 1996. Lowen was the head of the Institute for 40 years, providing direction for the theory and the practice of bioenergetic psychotherapy. Virginia Wink Hilton was chosen by the Institute’s members to be its new leader. Odila Weigand wrote Current Trends in Bioenergetic Therapy, Brazil in the 2001 Institute’s journal, “it is significant that after having for so long followed a father, we should have now chosen a mother to lead us.”

Il dottor Alexander Lowen lasciò la presidenza dell’Istituto Internazionale nel 1996. Lowen era stato a capo dell’Istituto per 40 anni, fornendo una guida per la teoria e la pratica della psicoterapia bioenergetica. Virginia Wink Hilton fu scelta dai membri dell’Istituto come nuova leader. Alexander Lowen ustąpił ze stanowiska przewodniczącego International Institute for Bioenergetic Analysis w 1996 roku.
