An active and productive year!

SIAB, the Italian Society for Bioenergetic Analysis, has had an active and productive year, offering a range of innovative and engaging workshops.

Luca Castellano presented the webinar "The spirituality of the body". Reflections on Bioenergetic Analysis in which he spoke about the spiritual dimension of the body in the model and practice of Bioenergetic Analysis (September 17, 2024). 

Irene Corbani presented the webinar entitled "Bioenergetic Analysis applied to the perinatal and evolutionary field" which aimed to illustrate to colleagues how to deal with perinatal the usefulness of a psycho-corporeal application (October 10, 2024).

The autumn of 2024 in Milan was busy due to three free experiential in-person seminars "Bioenergetics and Connection" conducted by bioenergetic psychotherapists, Freddy Torta and Valeria Carosi: October 8 - "Reclaiming Personal Energy"; October 29 - "Listening and Understanding the Body's Messages"; November 19 - "Connecting to Your Creative Potential". The three theoretical-experiential seminars offered examples of how bioenergetics and bodywork all a person to reconnect and gradually reclaim their potential sacrificed in the bumpy path of childhood and adolescent growth.

In spring of 2025 ...

• in Milan, Elisa Margarone presented her Spring Seminars: "Yoga and Bioenergetic Analysis: Analogies and Differences”. The focus was on two effective ways to get in touch with your body and your emotions.
• Barbara Furlan and Vittorio Franzetti presented "Standing on Your Own Two Feet and Enhancing Your Ability to Realize".
• Valentina Flenda: "How Bioenergetic Analysis Can Support Us in the Work of Healing the Fragmentation of the Self.
• Irene Corbani: "At the Origins of Movement"; Valeria Carosi and Freddy Torta - “Putting Out Your Voice and Pulling Out Your Body".
• March 31, at the S.I.A.B. headquarters in Rome, Flavia Luisa Ricci held the seminar entitled "Anxiety and Its Sisters: Emotions of Alarm" and Marisa Orsini and Claudia Sarrocco presented the seminar "Bioenergetic Classes in Eating Disorders - A Treatment That Promotes a Correct Perception of One's Body Schema".

Active involvment in IIBA Committees:

• On April 7th Sara Invitto was appointed chair of the Research Committee which also includes Ada Lentini.
• Flavia Luisa Ricci joined the Ethics Commission.
• Alessandro Cataldi is a member of the Scientific Committee of the IIBA Conference.

SIAB invited two international guests:

• In February 2025, Edson Galrão De França held a workshop on "The Role of the Vagus System in Trauma",
• and in March 2025, Reginaldo Teixeira Coelho conducted "Psychotrauma and Systemic Family Constellation"

We are proud to announce another aspect of the vitality and growth of SIAB. In January 2025, two numerous training sessions started both in the Milan and Rome headquarters.
