PDW 2023: From Depression to Vitality

The oft postponed PDW (Professional Development Workshop) is being offered in conjunction with the Southern California Bioenergetic Conference (SCBC) at the UCLA Conference Center, Lake Arrowhead California.

The SCBC theme is From Depression to Vitality. 

The Southern California Bioenergetic Conference (SCBC) has keynote speakers in the morning and workshops in the afternoon. Additionally, each participant is assigned to a process group, with the opportunity for personal work which deepens their experience and can integrate the concepts presented by the keynotes into their therapeutic style. The last night there is a dance and skit night!

• Who: The PDW 2023 will be open to those who are candidates for IIBA International Faculty as well as those who are interested in learning more about supervision and have completed 4 years of training.
• When: PDW participants will arrive on Wednesday afternoon (Feb 22 - Wednesday dinner is included in the cost) so we can already start on Wednesday evening. The conference opening begins on Feb 23 at 3:00 pm. (The conference is from Feb 23 until Feb 26, 2023.)
• Where: Lake Arrowhead is a beautiful setting with great amenities. The UCLA Conference Center is a facility with cabins in the woods. The cabins are “condolets” where each person will have their own bedroom with a private bath and a shared living room with a fireplace.
• Cost: USD 1,600.The fee for this PDW 2023 will include the PDW fee registration, accommodation, and all meals. All rooms have free WiFi. (If participants prefer a single accommodation there is a price increase (+ USD 400).
• Further details: PDW registrants will have their own process group (led by Alex Munroe - Selection Committee Chair and PDW Committee Chair and Diana Guest - International Faculty Member) allowing for ample time to have a PDW experience: working with each other, engaging in supervision, and demonstrating teaching skills to help complete the requirements for IIBA International Faculty.
• Registration: Currently the registration page does not have the special pricing for PDW participants. The SCBC Planning Committee is asking you to reserve your spot by registering with the USD 275 deposit option. (When the SCBC Planning Committee follows up with you and you inform them that you are a PDW applicant then they will direct you to a secure payment option to pay the balance. If you would like to pay in installments please make that request and that option will also be created.)
